"I had made a reservation with your Inn for December 28, 2008 thru an online site.  I had confirmation of it.  When I arrived, Tom, the desk clerk said there was no confirmation rec'd by LateRooms.com.  I had travelled almost 450 miles and was very tired and hungry.  Tom was unbelievably accommodating in that he assured me not to worry, he would get a room for us, and it would have all the requests we had asked for.  I cannot tell you how grateful we were.  It was busy at the desk and he exceeded expectations of the duties of his position.
